Our helicopter adventure tour to the Everest Base Camp starts early morning from the airport in Kathmandu. After about one hour flight we will land in Lukla to refill the fuel and then we will continue our flight closer to Kongde, through the Gokyo Valley and over the Cho La Pass towards Kala Patthar and the Everest Base Camp.
Altitude of 5300 metres
Viewpoint Kala Pattar
We will land at an altitude of 5300 metres, on the slopes of Kala Patthar – the most popular viewpoint for all trekkers heading for the Everest Base Camp.
After a few minutes at this viewpoint we will fly towards the Everest Base Camp and will continue to Camp I and Camp II situated considerably higher, but only if the wind is moderate. In strong wind we will fly closer to Mt. Nuptse and the Chukung Valley and will stop for about an hour in the Khumjung Everest View Hotel to have a cup of coffee and breakfast. It can be one of the best breakfasts in your life – with a view of Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhoste and many other peaks. Right after the breakfast we will continue our return flight to Kathmandu.
