Mount Everest

The scenery is just perfect and the excursion day to Khumjung and all the way hike up to Tengboche will filled your everyday with full of excitement. While taking the Everest Panorama trek you can also explore one day to Thame from where you can see the Thame Peak and Kongde in a closer distance.

From Kathmandu to Lukla

As the Everest Base Camp Trek starts, the Everest Panorama Trek also starts after 25 minutes of the flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and it offers you a stunning view of fascinating mountain peaks and beautiful landscapes. During this trip you will have an opportunity to explore the Sherpa Culture, their daily lives and the beautiful natural scenery of this region. It is not a demanding trek so you do not need to be particularly fit, though you should be in a general good shape. You have no reason to think about your age or the difficulty of the trek if you are generally fit. Once you are on the Everest Panorama Trek you will feel it is worth doing and you will return home with amazing memories for your lifetime.

01 Day

Arrival in Kathmandu

(1350 m), pick up from the airport and transfer to hotel, welcome dinner and trip briefing in the evening (D)

The Everest Panorama Trek starts after your landing in Kathmandu. After the immigration formalities and visa are done then you have to go to the luggage claim desk and after being luggage is received than continue your exit through the arrival hall. Our airport representative will be waiting you there with Nepal Excursion Treks airport display board to welcome you and pick up from the airport to hotel. In the evening we will go to the typical Nepali cuisine restaurant for welcome dinner where you can see the cultural performance of different ethnic group people of Nepal

Fly to Lukla

(2840 m, 25 minutes) and trek to Phakding (2610 m, 3-4 hrs) (B, L, D)

We will check out from the hotel in the early morning and drive to the domestic airport for the flight to Lukla. The short flight to Lukla offers the nice view of Nepal Himalayas and landscapes. In the clear weather we can even see the Mt. Everest during our flight to Lukla. After we land in Lukla we will continue our trek to Phakding. Our trail today is more gradual descending and ascending. Along the trail we will be passing few small villages. Lukla itself is a small Sherpa town surrounded by high hills. Mt. Kongde and Kusum Kangaroo are the most seen mountain in our walk today. We will also see the Buddhist pilgrimage monuments like Chortens, monastery, prayers flag on our day to Phakding

Trek to Namche Bazar

(3440 m, 6-7 hrs) (B, L, D)

We start our day after the breakfast in tea house. Today we have quite demanding day with steep ascending and gaining the altitude over 830 meters. The first part of the trail till we reached to Dudh Koshi River edge its gradual ascending and some parts are descending too. From this point our steep ascending begins for about three hours all the way till we reach to the big Sherpa town Namche Bazar. Before reaching to Namche Bazar there is a place called Durpin Danda from where we can see the first view of Mt. Everest in a clear weather. Namche Bazar the biggest Sherpa town offering the view of Mt. Konge and Thameserku. Once we finish the day we will visit the town and monastery and probably to National Park View point too if the weather is clear and possibility of seeing the sun set over the mountains

Acclimatization day

at Namche Bazar, excursion to the Everest View Point, visit to the Khumjung village, monasteries, Everest National Park museum (B, L, D)

It is one of the most important day among the entire trip with amazing view of the Mt. Everest and other Himalaya Peaks. We will begin our walk after breakfast in hotel. First we will go to National Park view point from where we can see the Tabuche Peak, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhoste, Mt. Lhoste Shar, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, Mt. Kusum Kangaroo, Mt. Kongde and its range including the sacred mountain Khumbila of Sherpa people.We will visit National Park Museum to know more about the flora fauna and history of some mountaineers and then we will continue our walk through steep ascending trail towards Everest View Hotel for the better view of these mountains and Landscape. We can also visit typical Sherpa settlement village Khumjung and monastery. On our way back we can visit the Sherpa Cultural Museum and Sonam Photography Gallery in Namche Bazar.  In the Sherpa Cultural museum we can see the traditional household good used by Sherpa people on their daily life and in Sonam Photography we can see more stunning pictures of Mt. Everest region and Sherpa’s tradition.

Trek to Tengboche

(3865 m, 5-6 hrs) (B, L, D)

We will follow the trail that is leading to Everest Base Camp on our day to Tengboche. The trail is gradual up in the beginning and from Kanjuma it is steep descending to Phungi Thanga. From Kanjuma we will have best view of Mt. Tabuche peak, Mt. Ama Dablam and Thameserku. We may take short break to enjoy these view before we begin our descending. We will stop for Lunch at Phungi Thanga and afterward our trail to Tengboche is mostly steep ascending four about three hours. Tengboche is small town with panoramic view of Mt. Everest and other Himalayas. We will visit the largest monastery of Solukhumbu once we reach there and interested may attend the regular praying ceremony by monks. In case the weather remain good we can see nice sun set over the Mt. Everest and other Himalayas from Tengboche.

Trek to Monjo

(2800 m, 6-7 hrs) (B, L, D)

Today we have few ups and downs. We will be coming back through the same trail while we took ascending as there is not any alternative trail to come back to Lukla. The first part of the trail till Phuni Thenga is steep descending through Pine and Rhododendron forest and from here steep ascending till Kanjuma. From Kanuuma till Namche Bazar is gradual descending with short ascending and on wards mostly is steep descending. Once we are in Jorsalle village after crossing the suspension bridge over Dudh Koshi River than for about an hour steep ascending to Monjo village. It’s a nice day with great view of Himalayas. It is recommended to use trekking polls on the descending trail.

Trek to Lukla

(2840 m, 5-6 hrs) (B, L, D)

We will start our last day of trek after breakfast in Monjo. Today our trail is mostly gradual descending and ascending to Lukla. We continue our day to Lukla which we took on the first day of our trek passing though small villages, suspension bridges. Once we finish our day we will hang around the town.  We have to reconfirm our next day flight to Kathmandu from the local airlines office in Lukla which remain opened from 3-5 pm.

Fly back to Kathmandu,

free afternoon for rest or shopping (B)

About an hour before the flight time we have to be in airport for the flight to Kathmandu. The short flight is still nice and we can enjoy the mountain and landscapes from flight. After we are in Kathmandu then we will drive to  the hotel and the rest of the day is free for rest which you can use for shopping or just relax. You can also visit the garden of dreams in Thamel and is nice place for resting

Guided sightseeing tour

in the UNESCO world heritage sites- Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swyambunath, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath (B)

Now your sightseeing tour in the Kathmandu will give you difference experience than what you have experienced in trek. Mostly you will see the historical palaces built in 16-17 century that are listed in UNESCO world heritage site. It is an opportunity to see the ancient carving and archaeology facts of Nepal. These places are surrounded by Hindus and Buddhist monuments. Guided sightseeing tour

in the UNESCO world heritage sites- Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square (B)

The interesting and historical both cities Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Square have ancient palaces built with antique carving and many Hindus temples are staying surrounding. During your sightseeing here you can also see the typical Newari culture. There is a pottery square in Bhaktapur and we can see how the household clay pots are prepared. Patan is more popular for producing antique handcraft products and metal statues. Here you have free and easy day. You may just rest or go for shopping. Upon request we can provide you mountain flight over Himalayas or some side trips. In the evening we meet for farewell dinner and we will discuss about your feedback on the service we provide.

Departure day! The end of Everest Panorama Trek trip. Our representative will drop you at international airport according to your flight time. Usually you have to leave from the hotel to airport about three hours prior than flight time.
